1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteIndividual - Myself getting up to make a change in my increase, planning ideas in my head. Following through with my plans, it all starts with myself.
Interpersonal - If I were to join a group like volunteering, but find what that actually paid it might help increase my capital, there’s a lot of communities out there that might need my help.
Institutional- Finding a cooperate
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
My job is my aspect in my life right now I am a manager at Burger King, I am already increasing my capital, I am going to take this managing expierence to the next level by staying with this company until I am out of college to own my own company, I want to manage my own, hire my own employees. It will increase tremendously.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer
I would use interpersonal skill, communicate and interact.
I think that it's awesome that you are already a manager, because then your human capital is already increased and you will have a good feel for what goes on in a business like that, which will help tremendously when you manage your own.
DeleteThat's awesome you're a manager! You are already getting so far in life and you know what you gotta do to get there.
DeleteThat's so cool that your a manager! I see you having great opportunities to come in the future because that will be a experience to have when entering the business world.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteMotivation by fear, by not being able to do something which translates into the fear of failure. The fear of not being good enough, which would lead to social rejection. We can be motivated by reward, by succeeding at something which would release dopamine and serotonin in the brain, which are chemicals that make us feel good. When our body rewards us with these chemicals, we want to succeed again. Or, we get a tangible reward like money or food. We can also be self motivated by pushing ourselves to do something, in attempts to better ourselves.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
I plan to invest in my education, my skill of working in the medical field and my skill of working with people in order to become a pediatric surgeon.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer?
I would offer my help as a counselor or a doctor. I am studying medicine and I am very good at working with people in many different ways.
That's really cool that you want to be a pediatric surgeon, and doing so will also raise your percentages so that you will get paid more, so it's a win win
DeleteLooks like you have really good skills to offer! Good for you, definitely stick with your plan to invest in your education in the medical field, your hard work will definitely pay off in so many ways in the future.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteMy motivation to increase my human capital would be having the control over myself and the things that I let happen. Obviously I cannot control the things that come my way in life, but I can control the way I react to every situation. Being an individual on the spectrum scale is what I’m striving for. The beliefs, values, knowledge, and so on come with being an individual but they also don’t get handed to you in life. You decide whether or not you want to work towards it, freedom and control.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
I plan on investing my time expanding my work experience and widening my education. I believe you need knowledge in both areas to be successful in life. You can have a PhD in Psychology, but that alone will not get you far without the work experience. Which is also the same the other way around, you can have a lot of work experience but unless you’re the “exception” or just lucky you won’t get far without an education. Therefor, I believe if I expand my work experience and widen my education that I can increase my human capital.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
If I was an active member participating in Tampa Bay Time Bank, I would have the human capital skills of attitude, value, beliefs, knowledge, and etc. I’m a hard worker when it comes to any job and I don’t stop until I’m done with what needed to be done. I’m not the type of person to give up no matter how many times I’ve failed, because each time you fail you’re just another step closer to succeeding.
The skills that you've put on here are very strong skills and I'm sure that they will help you in the future
DeleteIt seems like you have a good outlook on life, knowing you can't control what life throws at you but you can control how you react to it. I also agree that it takes both education and work experience to help you make moves in life.
Delete1. Self motivation and reward motivation push me to increase my human capital. I personally want to do well but I also want to do well so there are more opportunities available to me. That way I won’t be stuck with a job I hate and I can still live a comfortable lifestyle. . . I guess there’s a bit of fear motivation too since I’m afraid of my only options being a low paying job that I can’t stand.
ReplyDelete2. I plan to invest my time and energy into my education to become a surgeon someday. I also plan to stay healthy by exercising and eating right so I won’t require the services I’ll be providing others as a doctor. In my free time, I would also like to continue some of my hobbies such as writing and taekwondo. On the journey to becoming a surgeon, I probably won’t have much time for extracurriculars but I will have more time when all of my studying is done.
3. I could offer my skills as a taekwondo instructor, public speaker, creative writer, babysitter, knitter, idk
I think its great that you want to be a surgeon. The education level for being a doctor is a long term investment, but if you can do it, you are going to be a highly needed person and will be very happy with your human capital.
DeleteI agree with Nicole it's awesome that you wanna be a surgeon but there's like 9+ years of education that you will have to put into that job, plus a few internships as well.
DeleteI plan on investing in my health just like you, I think it makes perfect sense for you to do so, especially if you plan on being a surgeon.
DeleteI also think that self motivation is important in helping you increase your human capital. You need to push yourself to your goals.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteSelf-motivation motivates me to increase my human capital. I want to be someone important in the world and I hold myself to high standards to help achieve my goal. Through my hard work and self-motivation I will increase my human capital.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
An aspect of my life that I plan on investing is learning to speak French. Being fluent in Spanish has showed me how important it is to know more than one language and being able to speak yet another would, as my father says, make me count as three people. I want to learn French and one day travel to France.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
I would probably offer to help teach people how to cook mexican food or help older people use computers and other kinds of technology that they struggle with.
I think your language philosophy is well stated and true
DeletePlease help me cook mexican food
DeleteI think that this video was interesting and informative in many different ways. Firstly, my motivation to increase my human capital comes from my current job at menards, working at the returns desk. The motivation that ‘m talking about is my desire to get promoted when I turn 18. This is my second job, my first being at a cub scout camp when I was 14 and 15, but as soon as I turned 16, I looked for a real job. I love my current job, and wish to increase my individual human capital so that I can be the best employee that I can be. For the third question, I could offer my skills as a website coordinator or a technical engineer.
ReplyDeleteI think its awesome that you want to grow with the Menards company cause so many people go there for multiple things. Also growing with a company you get a lot of respect and a good raise.
DeleteI think u will go far in your pursuit of the american dream
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteSelf motivation and reward motivation give me a little push to better my human capital. And slightly motivation of fear by never making anything of myself. I think it will be so rewarding when I can take a step back and look at how far I’ve come by focusing on bettering myself in many areas, making good habits & sticking with them, and keeping a positive attitude when things aren’t going as smooth as I wish. When I have more to offer to the world I’ll be able to do more with my life.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
My education and simply myself. To become more extrovert, to be able to communicate with people on a better level would benefit me so much. I’d love to be able to find something I’m passionate about and put my all into by expanding my knowledge immensely on the subject and confidently share it with others.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
I don’t have a huge amount of work experience so I couldn’t offer a lot in that aspect. But I do have positive values and always offer kindness, acceptance, appreciation, and yearning to learn more. Maybe they could teach me a thing or two to increase my human capital.
Those are really good goals that you set for yourself. I believe if you work hard and put your mind too it you will succeed.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteSelf-motivation to increase my human capital. To have more responsibility and more knowledge at my job now at carbones. I just started two months, i already know a lot but id like to know a little more so i will be able to teach others the cook and pizza side. Im a very hard worker also.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
I plan to invest in my education of nursing. I still have a lot to learn about nursing but i'm excited to help people and expand my knowledge in that field.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
My social skills and I’d probably offer my cooking for shelters or older folks who can't do it by themselves anymore.
I plan on going to school for nursing too, just like you I'm excited to help people. I think it's really kind of you to offer help to others whether it be at your job or shelters.
Deletei think that's great that you want to go to school for nursing, that'll increase your human capital a lot
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteI want to be successful in life and I can't do that if my human capital is low, so I want to build it up as much as I can before I go into the “career world” because there's always going to be that one person that will be better than you. and with self-motivation you'll want to prove to yourself that you can be better than anyone else. also I want to live a comfortable life with no worries..
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
i'm already fluent in two languages, but i'm planning on learning french and sign language. also i'm planning on furthering my education.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
I can offer my cooking skills, cleaning, organizer & babysitter.
I think it's awesome that you already have increased human capital because you possess the skill of knowing more than one language. Especially if you learn French and ASL you would up your human capital by a lot because you would be rare and many people would want you in whatever you decide to do.
DeleteI think it is a good idea to invest in education, the higher education level you have the more opportunities you have in life. I think the best thing for that would be to go to a college, even if its a just for the 4 years, it will still work out better in the end.
DeleteI'm so jealous that your already fluent in two languages. I know & understand one language but I lost touch in how to speak it fluently. That's awesome that you want to increase your skills in learning even more languages.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteReward motivation is the only motivation I have to increase my capital. If I’m to do anything there must be a reason for it.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
I will invest the majority of my time to health and happiness.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
I offer my public speaking voice as my skill I offer to others.
I agree with the reward motivation. I better be getting something out of it. I also think investing in health and happiness is a good idea because if all else fails, even if you were bankrupt or homeless, you'd still be alive and happy. Also, I'd hire you for you public speaking voice.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteReward motivation is pretty much it for me as of right now. If I’m going to work towards something I would want to have a chance for at least some type of reward. However, I’d like to be able to get to the point of self-motivation, where I can have complete control
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
I plan to better invest in my education. I think giving a little more effort in school and working hard towards what I want to be, which is currently undecided, will give me more of the confidence I need to be self-motivating.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
I would offer something probably like landscaping. I pretty much designed and built a waterfall in my backyard by myself. However, I could also offer some sort of catering or food service. I work at LeeAnn Chin right now. So I guess I could go cook some one Chinese food, too.
Chinese food is literally so good, you are lucky to have that experience. Can i hire you to cook some for me.
DeleteReward might be the only thing you look for right now but I feel like eventually you'll need to be self motivated and try to do things for yourself without regards to a reward.

ReplyDelete1.I personally feel that all three of the factors discussed motivate me to increase my human capital. Out of these three though, I think that fear comes first, reward come second, and self comes last. Fear comes first because I constantly find myself saying “If I don’t do this then that will happen”, an example being if I don’t get 80% or higher on my test then I won’t get an A in physics. Reward coming second because more times than not when I’m working I constantly remind myself that if I work this amount of hours then I’ll make this amount of money.
2.I wish to invest in my health, it’s something that I’ve been working on and I plan to continue working on it. The reason being is for the “reward” so to speak, I like feeling energized and typically when I work out I don’t feel as stressed.
3.If I was apart of tampabaytime.org I would offer babysitting services mainly because I’m good with kids and I don’t really know what other skill I could offer.
I do that all the time with my grades too! It just makes me feel better to know exactly how well I need to do on something to get an A. Investing in your health is a good idea, I support you on that *insert thumbs up emoji*
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteI think the part about fear and reward motivates me. I don’t want to struggle to live my entire life. Usually if i ever do anything its because i can get something from it, so that goes with reward. However, the chance that i would do something without a reward would be i'm afraid of the consequences. Really being motivated by fear and reward is exactly the same, because not having something bad happen is a reward…
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
I plan on investing in my education. I feel like the best was to increase my human capital is by advacing my education level. Since i plan on going to school for many years, it will be a long term investment but when i finish i feel it will pay off.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
Well i really like gardening, and i'm not terrible at it… so i guess i could garden for you. I planted the garden in a my backyard and take care of it as well as my grandma's garden. I also worked at a bakery for a long time baking and decorating pastries, so i could probably and you cupcakes.
I don't want to struggle to live my entire life either and I agree about it mainly being fear and reward motivation because even when you think something is self motivated, it's actually reward motivated because the reward is how good you will feel after doing whatever it was.
Delete1. What motivates your desire to increase your human capital? The video mentions three factors so use these as your guide.
ReplyDeleteI would say that all three factors would help motivate me to increase my human capital. I find myself always afraid to fail, let myself or others down because it makes me feel like i'm never good enough. I also feel like I get doubts from others when I want to push myself to do better for myself. That's why I have myself to motivate. If someone tells me i'm not doing something right or I don't have the skill to do what I want to do then that motivates me to prove them wrong and show them that I have the ability to do whatever I want. It's very rewarding when people have there doubts about the choices you make. For example, I was doing terrible at my old school & when I wanted to transfer to a even more challenging school my family wouldn't let me. I still applied and got into the school & once I went there my grades were better then they were before. It was very rewarding proving my family wrong.
2. What aspect of your life do you plan to invest in to increase your human capital?
My education and myself. I'm not sure what I want to do with my education yet but I still plan on going to college. My goal is to find what my skills are & to hopefully find a job that will let me be comfortable with who I am & to show off my strengths.
3. At this point in your life if you were active member participating in Tampabaytime.org what human capital skill would you offer.
I don’t have a lot of work experience so I can't offer much for now. But i'm a positive person who's good with people, advice, always hard working, kind, and open to learn more about the world and myself.
those aspect in your life that your planing to increase, will help your human capital get pretty high
